How can we figure out – or decide on – the best path for our lives? If I use my brain and think carefully, will I be able to find the good life? The Bible says no.
But there is a way to find the good life. Trust God from the bottom of your heart. This is an idiom – the bottom of your heart. It means completely, with your whole heart. God wants us to trust Him completely. All the time and everywhere, we should listen for God’s voice.
God knows what is best for us. He is the only one who can keep us on track. That is another idiom – to keep on track. It means to stay on the right path. God wants to show us the right path, the best path for our life
